From blue skies to the desert heat of Palm Springs, the 2019 Coachella Music and Arts Festival is back for another huge two weeks - taking place from 12-14th and 19-21st of April.
Since its inception in 1999, Coachella has been one of the biggest music festivals to hit American Soil and is considered one of the hottest tickets on the celebrity and festival circuit. Set at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California (Celebrity ground zero), the location of the festival provides the utmost ease of access for top celebrities and artists.
The festival has evolved from not only an event that focuses on the music but is now a place for fashion lovers to show off their most Instagrammable festival fashion - taking wardrobe inspiration from attending celebrities.
This year the lineup is just as grand as ever, presenting a sheer volume of stellar artists with headliners including; Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, and Australia’s very own Tame Impala.
Amongst these great artists, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West were cast as original acts. However, Timberlake's tour clashed with the Coachella dates, and the latter artist pulled out due to the stage’s size and design not meeting his requirements.
However, this year, Kanye West has been doing a weekly performance series called “Sunday Service,” which features an array of musicians performing with Kanye. On Easter Sunday (April 21), Kanye is bringing his service to Coachella 2019 for a special 9 a.m. performance.

Over the years Coachella has displayed an array of talent, from The xx and Kendrick Lamar in 2017, to Beyonce's Saturday night set in 2018- one that most attendees will never forget.
The original idea for the performance stemmed from a dream that the renowned artist had a year prior. Entailing both a brass and string section, an array of dancers, an appearance from Jay Z, the re-grouping of Destiny’s Child, and a dance-off between Solange and Beyonce herself all made for a stellar and iconic performance.

The yodelling Walmart boy also made an appearance, with the iconic Ferris wheel being outshone by the rainbow tower art installation looming over the field. The seven-story column made of plexiglass windows ranging from red to purple beckoned with mesmerizing hues.
General admission passes for this year's festival are going for $730+ (AUD) for the weekend (increasing to $940 with the inclusion of a camping pass), with a General Admission VIP pass costing $1,750. With tickets on sale since January and selling out, the festival is offering two separate waitlists for each weekend.
